Xgen Pharmaceuticals' Folic Acid Injection, USP, delivers 5 mg of folic acid per mL in a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution intended for intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), or subcutaneous (SC) administration.Packaged in a 10 mL multiple-dose vial, this injection is commonly used to treat folic acid deficiencies and certain types of anemia.Each mL contains sodium folate (equivalent to 5 mg folic acid), edetate disodium (2 mg), benzyl alcohol (15 mg) as a preservative, and Water for Injection, with pH adjusted between 8.0 to 11.0 using hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide.
